The PanAfrican Journal of Governance and Development (PJGD) has allowed authors to appeal (rebuttal) if they feel their manuscripts are rejected unfairly. The appeal can be submitted through an online submission system using the OJS Platform. The appeals must be based on scientific grounds and should specify the points of rebuttals for consideration. It should be submitted within 20 days of notifying the rejection. The rejected manuscript cannot be considered under a revised version until and unless the Panel of Reviewers for that particular manuscript suggests 'rework.'

Even though such a situation rarely arises, if the editorial board finds the appeals are genuine, that may be because of the orientation, thought process, and approach of the different scholars for the same issue. There is a scope to constitute the second panel of reviewers to review the manuscript provided all the errors of facts or biases or whatever the board members convince the points of rebuttals. However, the final decision rests with the board members based on the journal's scope, aims, and objectives.
